  6. This is part of the new rtgmaster release V22.0. rtgmaster is a library system to make
  7. GFX Board Compatible Game Coding easy. It supports :
  8.  
  9. - Direct Access to the Video RAM
  10. - With some effort the code even runs on ECS/AGA (through c2p)
  11. - Supports nearly all WB Emulations
  12. - And much more
  13.  
  14. This part of the archive is for the developper. 
  15. It contains Binaries and Demos, Autodocs and Includes. You might be interested
  16. in getting the Driver Archive, additionally, if you do not want having to bother
  17. with Library/OS Coding. This Driver Archive contains an example driver where
  18. you do not have to know about this. This is all done internally in the driver.

  20. The other rtgmaster archives are rtgmaster_user.lha and rtgmaster_driv.lha. The
  21. Driver Archive contains the Binaries and an Example Driver that can be used to
  22. add GFX Board Support to a game without knowing something about Library/OS 
  23. Coding, the User Archive contains Demos and Binaries (they are also contained here, though).

  25. V21 changes:

  27. - Important rtgCGX.library bugfix for 15/16/24 Bit Screens (there is not yet
  28.   a program using rtgmaster in Truecolor mode, though, most games are these
  29.   days still 8 Bit, if not to say all)
  30. - Workaround for CyberGraphX V41 R55 Bug concerning WaitBOVP. Doublebuffering
  31.   will now work with the buggy CyberGraphX Version again. (Bugreport already
  32.   sent).
  33. - Installer script finally fixed.

  35. V22 changes:

  37. - Moon source added, with the permission of the author
  38. - rtgCGX changes
  39. - Note about how to make a game running on the CV64 (the CV64 does some
  40.   special things... Genetic Species is coded GOOD for example, it runs,
  41.   tiny3d is NOT). it is only a small thing, but many coders seemed not
  42.   to have a look at it. And no, it is no rtgmaster problem, if you use
  43.   CyberGraphX or Picasso96, you will get the same problems... you can't
  44.   assume BytesPerRow = BytesPerPixel * Width on the CV64, basically, but
  45.   have to read out the real BytesPerRow...

  47. New in this version (also called V22, sorry :) ) :

  49. - Problems with CopyRtgPixelArray call and Cybervision64 Board should now
  50.   finally be fixed (so Tiny3D should now work on the CV64 also)

  52. IMPORTANT NOTE:
  53.  
  54. To create the original installer script i used files that i found in a file
  55. called inst_ex.lha containing installer script examples "for your usage" from
  56. a BBS. It seems that the guy who created this archive broke copyright and stole
  57. code from some installer scripts of Commercial Software, including for sure
  58. the CyberGraphX installer. I was contacted by Robert C.Reiswig because of that.
  59. I documented what happened in the rtgmaster docs and removed the scripts in
  60. question completely. I rewrote them now, without using the doubtful
  61. inst_ex.lha material. If someone wants to flame someone, not i am the person
  62. responsible. Until some days ago, i did not even KNOW that i used material
  63. by Robert C. Reiswig (like i also explained him). The guy who put together
  64. this inst_ex.lha appearently removed all copyright lines... well, with V21
  65. all doubtful material is removed from the rtgmaster archives !!!
